Sunbeam Vets

Below you will see my original review. There were an amazing team there when I first brought my rescue lurcher to them. The last year (25/26) has not been the same and I do not trust them anymore. I sent in a written complaint, as Dave can still hardly walk after being treated there just over a week ago. They have not had the courtesy to acknowledge receipt of my concern, never mind reply to it. Don't choose this company, would be my advice. Post from 2022 I felt very comfortable and confident with everyone I met. Our first time here and will continue to be our vet for as long as they will have us! Thanks for taking care of Dave (lurcher). Loads of parking too.

Fantastic vets my dog i was with value vets before and they said my dog will need to be put down that was 2 years ago took him to sunbeam instead and my dog is 15 and still going strong thanks to the great work they did for him honestly 5 stars the best vets ive ever been with

Excellent Quality care. Staff are very warm and welcoming. The entire experience from start to finish was informative and I felt very clear on the results following the visit. I would highly recommend this vet to everyone as 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Had the unfortunate situation of having to put my 15 years old golden retriever to sleep. The professional and tender care they showed to my dog i will never forget. They made the tough process so much easier for me Many thanks

Staff are fantastic and really care about your pets

My two dogs pictured below, Lady and Earl, are alive today thanks to the team at Sunbeam Veterinary Hospital. Lady is Earl's mum. On Tuesday 13 January 2026 my two dogs ate sausages while on a walk in Ballincollig. These sausages had been laced with poison. Sunbeam had the night team ready and waiting for us and they successfully kept my dogs alive that night and over the next 8 days. My dogs are now home but would not be so if it wasn't for the professionalism, experience and hard work by all the team at Sunbeam Northpoint who went above and beyond to keep my dogs alive and enable them to survive and recover. It was very touch and go for the first 5 days with only a cautiously optimistic being mentioned on day 6. The day and night teams updated me regularly, and I really appreciated those calls every morning and late at night. As Lady and Earl, improved it was evident on my daily visits to see them that from the reception staff to the nursing and veterinary staff, the entire team were so invested in their care. Earl and Lady, being Weimaraners can be standoffish with people but my dogs became very attached to all the team at Sunbeam as witnessed by a recent return visit when they rushed in the door, tails wagging to see who was on duty!! Earl and Lady have told me in confidence that Sunbeam has " the best humans ever" on site. This review is to thank the wonderful people at Sunbeam not only for their veterinary knowledge but for their compassion, kindness and empathetic communication. If you are a new pet owner, this is the place in Cork to bring your pet for excellent veterinary care served up with kindness and professionalism.

They are after getting very expensive. The Pet Health Care plans are designed to generate as much revenue as possible for Sunbeam. They introduced new plans without informing customers and downgraded existing plans. Plenty of small print exclusions in their plans also. So read carefully before signing up. They seem very focused on revenue generation. I can't recommend them due to their ever increasing prices.
