Part of the Riverview Veterinary Group (the website says the practice has been operating for 80 years), this clinic covers small animals and also provides mobile support for dairy cows. Reviews point to a setup that handles both routine and urgent problems: owners mention being seen at short notice, using an on-call/out-of-hours service with prompt call-backs, and pets staying in for monitoring after procedures (e.g., a senior dog kept for a few days following extensive dental work). Feedback is mostly very positive, but there is also a directly negative account describing the visit as “unprofessional” and overly focused on billing.

We have used Riverview vets over the years and they have always been excellent. We had two recent visits to riverview vets for our cats and met Conor who was so helpful and caring. No problem seeing them at short notice too.

No stars. Unprofessional and no interest in my dog but rather more interested in printing off the bill. You'd imagine people working in this industry would have a love for animals but that's not what I experienced. Very sad.

On 15th September 2025 our Ziva a 16 year old Belgian Shepherd (Tervueren). Had a dental procedure, where she has 19 teeth removed. I had put off doing anything to her teeth for too long for fear of losing her. Until it was explained to me that Ziva was in some discomfort and that the teeth needed to be extracted. The operation went well, but took a lot out of her and she needed to be kept for a few days. But because of the first class care our Ziva received all the vets and all the staff at Riverview veterinarian group Bandon Ziva's made a full recovery. Thanks to everyone at Riverview Veterinarian practice in Bandon all there help during this worrying time Regards Michael.

We have been dealing with Riverview Vets in Bandon for many years and a stint with Ballincollig and have always found them extremely helpful and professional to deal with. We want to give a special shout out today, Saturday, 2nd August 2025 to Rachelle, who came to the rescue of our 13 year old male cat Oscar, who suffered a seizure. Rachelle went above and beyond in her vocation to get to the route cause of what was going on with Oscar : - Fnding a prompt outcome, resulting in stage 3 kidney disease and hypertension. We now have Oscar on medication and on a new diet, which will hopefully give him a better and more comfortable quality of life, going forward. We can't thank you enough and are so grateful for all you did to help Oscar, today. 😻🙏♥️ Una and Mark

We recently adopted our little kitten "Wispa". The support and advice we got from Rachelle and the entire team has been incredible. Our kitten was quite unwell when we got him, but due to the fantastic care we received, he is now doing fantasticly. In particular the out of service and their empathy was greatly appreciated

We have seen Dr. Conor with our dog on 2 occasions now. He was a pleasure to deal with and interacted with our dog wonderfully. He was very honest and empathetic. Conor explained everything clearly to us and in great detail, we trusted Conor entirely with our dogs wellbeing!

I brought my Assistance Dog, Earle, to the Carrigroline office on the Sunday morning of a bank holiday weekend. He had accidently ingested a large quantity of fermented berry preserves several days earlier and was not improving. I found the on-call service to be very kind and understanding and the operator contacted the vet on-call in Carrigroline right away. I received an immediate call back and we made a plan for Earle to be seen in the clinic. Dr. Joanne was incredible. Having never been to this branch of Riverview before, and having a very sick dog on my hands, she was calm and gentle with both him, and me. Joanne understood his unique role as an Assistance Dog, and approached everything that needed to be done with the understanding that he is intelligent, highly trained, and has a very placid and obediedient temperament. A blood draw was done, the results and previous treatment reviewed, and it was decided that additional medication and iv fluids were needed. Earle was to spend the day at the vet, and because we have never been separated it was decided that if he showed distress I would be called. I was more likely to be the one with separation anxiety I think! We brought his bedding and blankets in for comfort and he was settled in for treatment. Having found the key to Earle's heart (cat treats), all procedures were done unrestrained, unmuzzled, and with complete gentleness. I was so grateful and impressed. I would highly recommend the Carrigroline clinic and their vet Joanne. Earle has made a full recovery and we are back to our adventures.
