Just rang looking to collect repeat medication for my dog today and I was told to ring again but to choose a different phone option and leave a voice message, that they’ll let me know when they have it in. Normally you just call and give them 10 minutes notice but this particular receptionist may have misunderstood me because English is definitely not her first language, she seems to have very poor manners too.

This is just the most wonderful animal hospital. The staff are so sweet and caring and everyone seems to just love the animals, from the reception staff to the vets. Everyone is so kind and very knowledgeable. The Pet Health Club is also a huge game changer and helped so much with the expenses of having a dog, especially the first year with so many vaccinations that are needed. I absolutely recommend the Animal Care Vets in Douglas!

When we rang the receptionist/nurse listened to all our concerns. She booked us in to be seen that day. Orla, the vet, listened to everything we had to say from the beginning. She rang us regularly when an update/questions about what course of action was would like and she also updated us on the cost of each option. We really believe that everyone at Animal Care Vets Douglas went above and beyond when caring for our dog.

The staff here are so caring and compassionate, from the moment I step through the door with my dog I am always greeted with the warmest welcome! I always feel listened to when raising any concerns, and when discussing any treatments the staff are always transparent about the cost and if there are alternative options! I could not recommend this place anymore!!!

The clinic was very clean, and the staff were excellent, as soon as i came in with my cat they introduced themselves to him and helped calm him down as he was quite nervous, they informed me of everything that was happening, and so when i left him there i was quite comfortable knowing he was in good hands.

We foster kittens through the cat action trust and the Animal Care are so easy to deal with. They are all so friendly and passionate about their jobs. They are like pet therapists being there for the good and the bad. We had many trips to come in to get the kittens vaccinated or medicated. Sadly one occasion we had the very sad and unfortunate reality of having to lose one of our kittens in the process. The vet hospital was very empathetic and respectful on the whole journey. They sent us a hand written condolence note and felt really well taken care of. Highly recommend for all your pet needs.

Trust to me is the most important attribute when choosing a family vet. I have 100% confidence and faith that my animals are receiving the best care. All of the Doctors have explained procedures, options and costs in terms that I understand. What makes this practice extra special is that they take that great care and love, treating my pets like their own.
