Millstreet Veterinary Group is an independent practice offering care for both companion pets and farm animals, with 24-hour veterinary care stated for livestock and companion animals. The clinic also lists pet boarding and grooming and a cardiology service (including a cardiology referral option on the site). In recent reviews, owners describe very specific touches: a vet sat on the floor to examine a dog with a back injury rather than lifting him onto the table, a follow-up phone call to check progress mid-week, and a bereavement gesture where the practice sent a card with a hen’s footprint after euthanasia. There is also a contrasting older review alleging a missed tail fracture and delayed escalation that led to later amputation after a second opinion.
Google rating: 4.5 stars from 82 reviews. The latest written reviews available to us are mostly positive with detailed examples of handling and follow-up, alongside a small number of critical comments. “”

If I could give 10 stars,I would. They have treated my hens as well as my dogs and above all I could gush about, the outstanding thing is their kindness. As well as my own pets,I've landed them with various wild animals, injured on roads over the years, even a young deer once, they have ALWAYS, without question done all in their power. After my hen had to go asleep, they posted me a card with her footprint,a treasure I'll keep forever.Last week,my Whinger was seen by Muireann,he had hurt his back, she wouldn't lift him on the table in case she hurt him and that girl sat on the floor with him instead, have you ever seen a vet do that? That's how much they love each and every animal goes through their doors. She is seeing him on Friday but phoned on Wednesday to ask how he's doing, the kindness of these people, both vets and receptionists is overwhelming. Here, animals come before all else, under no circumstances would I take my precious ones anywhere else.Simply put, these people love animals.Cannot recommend highly enough.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently brought my very nervous dog, Brax, to Millstreet Veterinary Group Practice after he broke his dewclaw, and I couldn't be more impressed. Brax is usually very anxious, but the team was absolutely outstanding in how they handled him. They were incredibly gentle and made sure he felt comfortable throughout the visit. It's the calmest I’ve ever seen him in a veterinary setting, which really speaks volumes. We travel all the way from Mallow to Millstreet because of how fantastic they are, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality care for their pets. Thank you for taking such great care of Brax!

After man visits to here with my dogs tail, we were assured it would "heal on its own". Got a second opinion from a more professional vet and was able to tell straight away there was a break in the tail and the best course of action was amputation. Could have spared a lot of pain and suffering with the poor pooch if this had been caught in time by this crowd. Thankfully she's flying it and we now have a much more efficient, professional vet looking after her needs

Caring about the animals, taking age and life quality of life into account. Have used this veterinary group for 4 years and never had any problems with them. All vets seem great.
