Muskerry Veterinary Clinic describes itself as part of one of the largest veterinary practices in the country, offering both farm animal and companion animal care. Based on the clinic’s own service list and recent reviews, it appears set up for routine consults and diagnostics (including in-house testing and X‑rays), with additional options like acupuncture and cardiology workups. Owners specifically mention coming in for an X‑ray, being accommodated for a Sunday emergency, and being able to do “settling-in” visits without an appointment to help a nervous dog get comfortable. One review also describes laser treatment being tried for a dog’s back pain, with improvement noticed soon after.

We visited Muskerry Vets twice without an appointment to get our dog comfortable and and used to the new environment. The staff was so good and kind to us and our Rotti Nala. Today we had a consultation with our vet Barbara. She is the best and you can see the love and passion she has for her job. She was handling Nala so well. Our dog had back pain and Barbara tried the laser treatment on Nala. It lasted a couple of minutes only and we could see that the dog was already feeling much better. Thank you.

Our rescue dog has had the greatest treatment here, everyone is always so lovely when we bring him in. He was referred for his surgery to Bandon but all checkups back in Macroom and Barbara has always been fantastic. He's making a great recovery.

Thanks for accommodating a Sunday emergency at such short notice. Great service. Richard was really thorough and careful with my very old cat.

Took our family pet to this vet because he was unwell. They took his bloods and gave him tablets. He couldn't keep the tablets down, we went back a second time, more of the same tablets. They never scanned him. Rang a third time but unfortunately it was too late as he died a few hours later.
