Im in the process of filing a formal complaint against this facility. Im a retired NY Paramedic and while vacationing near their facility our dog a French Bulldog mire specifically was experiencing situational anxiety combined with difficulty breathing, my wife called them and stated I was enroute with a 5 min eta. This should have been a rudamentary and fundamental call for vets claiming to be " a 24/7 emergency clinic " we were there 30 minutes which was more than ample time to get her stabilised and would have been had the vet on staff been willing to interrupt a " consultation " he was doing with someone else and have given us the urgency the event demanded for 15 minutes he was absent and I was left alone with a so called assistant that was mire interested in how to spell the name of our town than assisting while I tried to provide O2 with an inadequate and ill fitting mask. 15 minutes after the vet arrived she passed. Form your own opinions and conclusions but our lovely otherwise healthy dog is now dead for no good reason and their cruelty and indifference is unforgivable. As I stated Im a retired NY Paramedic so every call of my career was an emergency. I am absolutely in shock after witnessing such an inferior approach to an emergency combined with lies being told by them stating that " several rounds of cpr were given " Im a CPR instructor as well as ACLS Certified I was right there NO CPR WAS DONE. PERIOD. as well as other numerous lies. If you love your pet and they need their nails trimmed go elsewhere or theyre libel to die.

Professional, straight forward. Up to you if you like to go expensive way doing all testing suitable or try to get diagnosis by treating symptoms. I can thank you enough for what you've done for my dog

Cathal O'Connor has the most wonderful way with his clients and their humans. I have been bringing my dogs ,cats, and hens to him for years now. I recently had to take the heartbreaking decision to send my 15 year old boy over the rainbrow bridge,and the support, attention,care, and understanding shown by Cathal was incredible,as always is.Two weeks after losing our boy, we lost our 15 year old cat, and again, the empathy and professionalism shown throughout her treatment had been second to none. Credit is also very much due to the wonderful nurses and wider vet team at Blarney Vets. I can not recommend them enough!
